Cellist Mischa Maisky has taken 23 gorgeous French chansons and mélodies, and arranged ... more
them for cello and piano. The resulting disc--though exquisitely beautiful--is comparable to the kind of book that you leave by the loo because you don't want to read it all in one go. This is not a value judgement but a comment on the disc's overall shape. Maisky has chosen 23 pieces which all have the same haunting, elegiac tone of Gallic nostalgia: this is less a recital, therefore, than an exercise in sustaining a mood. The arrangements all work beautifully however, and often involve a wonderfully defamiliarising shift up the octave for a second verse, as if the baritone you were listening to suddenly transforms into a soprano before your eyes. His playing is lyrical in the extreme, and Daria Hovora provides gentle and sensitive support. Just don't expect any variety. --Warwick Thompson

Introduction
Un Jardin Apres La Mousson Eau de Toilette is the third fragrance of Hermes that takes us on a journey into the scented gardens of the world. As one of my favourite perfumes to wear is the previous addition to the series Un Jardin Sur Le Nil (A garden on the Nile), I got hold of a sample spray to try it.
The packaging
A simple, white carton box houses this airy and light cologne adorned by oriental impressions of flowers and leaves. The bottle is tall but sturdy and heavy. It has a gradual green-blue tint that could well be the colour of foliage and herbs to the colour of the river as the sky is reflected in it. The golden coloured atomizer is capped with a transparent spherical top.
The fragrance
Top notes: ginger, coriander, cardamon ...
Advantages: Catchy, covers upbeat to emotional, and very good single release Alone. Disadvantages: Doesn't cover any new ground or set itself apart
-of-the-ground grey area of the forgettably average. I was really ready to whole-heartedly enjoy this album, but I just didn't. There were times when I almost did. It definately stuck in my head - and it had a good beat. But that wasn't going to be enough for me. I don?t think Dan should call his album ?Un? unless he's planning on making genre-warping, perspective-altering musical strides. I hate to be mean because he seems like a stand up guy. Top marks for effort, but frankly - Uninspiring. ...

Advantages: Very satisfying shooter, good graphics and gameplay Disadvantages: Very difficult shooter.
Thank you Capcom for bringing us this game.
UN Squadron is in my opinion one of the best side scrolling shoot em ups ever created. The only other side scrolling shooter to come close or match it is R-Type, also a personal favourite of mine.
The Gameplay
This game is HARD! to an extent that many people will be put off very very quickly. This, i think is one of its best qualities. When you finish a level you have a real sense of acheivability and satisfaction.
I got my SNES when it first came out and i saved up and brought UN Squadron (for fifty quid i might add) to go with the two other games i had at the time. With only three games to play you can imagine the amount of time i put into playing UN Squadron. I think for that fact alone allowed me to get everything UN Squadon had to offer. I did eventually clear the game which ...
