The star of this album is without a doubt Ian Anderson who literally jumps out of the speakers at you and stands right there in your living room. Aqualung was the album that was to start the run of hit albums for Tull and was to launch the band onto the international music scene and earn them the mantle of rock superstars. All the tracks on the album are great but the ones that stand out from the rest are Cross Eyed Mary, Locomotive Breath and the title track Aqualung: note, a lot of the tracks on here also appear on the best of albums which says a lot for the tracks. Apart from the ones mentioned there are some tracks that never seem to get a mention but are every bit as good, namely Mother Goose to name but one. You either like Tull or you hate them and if you are sitting on the fence about the issue buy this album and you will definitely come down on the side of those who like the band.
