There is alien life elsewhere in the universe,problem is it has come here. The Foreigners have arrived and with them they has brought vastly superior technology, high morals and peace. The problem is that humans don't seem to thrive well on 'peace'.
Soon there are some who believe that this 'golden age' of man this an enforced and sterile age. an age where peace equals stagnation and they will do all they can to drive the foreigners away.
Set in New Venice we follow Captain Jack Parry of the Foreign Policy Police who has the unenviable job of keeping the rebels in check. The. problem is a murderer is on the loose and he is killing humans and aliens alike.

And suddenly they where everywhere. In the parks, in the buildings and walking the streets as though they had always been there.
The Foreigners where seven foot tall and wore golden masks atop their robed bobies.
They brought with ther 'Crystech', a power source and unbreakable building material.
But more importantly with their arrival came peace to mankind. Some thought it was hypnosis, some thought it was the realisation we where not alone in the universe, some thought the foriegners may be exuding pheromones. What ever the reason none thought about it too hard or too closely lest the bubble be burst and mankind fall backwards to what it had been.

It reveals that Mick Jones, the powerhouse behind Foreigner, was a guitarist in an instrumental group called Nero and the Gladiators. After some gigging in France with the group, Mick had stayed behind in France to become involved with the legendary French rock and roller Johnny Haliday and his singer-wife, Sylvie Vartan.
Eventfully he became Johnny's musical director. So Foreigner cannot be dismissed as a nothing more than a slick, soulless band of poseurs.
