Comedy Is Lost
I think that many will agree that recently, genuine comedies have been sparse, romcoms are robotically similar and funny has been lost and been replaced with short silly moments in which half the audience cringes instead of laughing.
I have given up on wasting my money going to the cinema to see comedy films as they are simply all the same. I do not know whether this is due to punch lines running out or people?s preferences changing, but it has been a long time since I was that impressed by a film and I think even directors are avoiding calling their films funny to ensure that disappointment is limited.

Advantages: Entertaining,Nice story,Decent performances Disadvantages: None if you expect a rom-com
away by his new male buddy. Things turn the way the viewers predict and ends up in a sweet and predictable ending which the viewer doesn't mind.
It's the character of Peter Klane which really makes this work. You will literally feel for this guy and some might even identify with him. The story is thoroughly entertaining yet it contains a subtle underlying plot which focuses on the complexes the character goes through as a loner. Jason Segel is perfectly cast and I am sure his role in the TV series How I met your mother landed him this part. Rashida Jones and the rest of the female cast are sufficient as well.

Advantages: Laugh out loud funny in places, well written Disadvantages: A bit rushed towards the end
Dave Gorman is a man I'd love to meet up with for a pint or two, but wouldn't want to live with, and nor would I want to get stonkingly drunk with him. You see, he is dangerous when drunk, and when those fateful words, "you wanna bet" are spoken, chaos ensues.
This was clearly and scarily evident in The Googlewhack Adventure, when instead of writing his novel, he searched the world for Googlewhack. However, the evidence stretches even further back to 2001, when AreYOU Dave Gorman was published.
Unlike his later books, AreYOU Dave Gorman was written with his then-roommate, Danny Wallace, but like his later book (Googlewhack), it all started with a bet. Actually, it all started with far, far too much Tequila, and proceeded with a bet.
