This is one of the best soundtracks of the year. The music really captures the moment, and Aerosmith have made a good contribution to the film and to the soundtrack. Unlike their usual heavy style, Aerosmith have put together some quite romantic songs to create the near perfect soundtrack. The album also contains other artists, but it is fairly obvious that it is dominated by Aerosmith! This is a great soundtrack that you can really relate to the ...

Advantages: Brillant songs with alot of originality Disadvantages: probably the price, but its ok
I like this CD very much. I only got it for one track (number 8, which is Jon Bonjovi), but I'm so glad that I got it. The songs on the soundtrack are really good. There are 5 songs on by Aerosmith, and some others by ZZ Top, Jon Bonjovi and other people that I have never heard of before. You will probably reconise 11 of the 14 songs on this album. Some of the lryics do have swearing in, but you tend to find that with most peoples albums now. What ...

AeroSmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing -
This song is just an amazing love song, i am a major sucker for love songs, and this song just touched my heart.
This song is the main soundtrack to the hit film Armageddon, Starring Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler, the daughter of Steven Tyler the lead singer in AeroSmith.
The song tells a story of a true love for one person, one person loves this person so much that they don't want to miss a ... ...Don't wanna fall asleep
Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
Cause I'd still miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing"
This song is very special to me as it is my personal song for me and my boyfriend, it describes how we feel for each other, it's a true love song, and could romanticise the unromantic.
The song gives out such a sweet vibe. the lyrics are ...

Advantages: Great Sounds, New Songs, Own Material Disadvantages: Shouldnt Have Changed Somebody To Love
happy feel... band in sync with the lead feeling that overall front sounding vocal. You can just see everyone singing along to this and having a good time - has that Van Morrison appeal to it and overall a very good album track... actually one of my favorites.
Don't Wanna Miss A Thing
This is a very strong cover, and suits Ben's vocals perfectly, you could even imagine him doing the original and soundtrack to Armageddon. In his element with those ambient rock vocals and passion - heart felt and pleasing, this version will wow the ladies at any concert (could you be that lucky lady). Building up to that expected climax, finishing off the love story behind the song regardless of it's meaning - right choice to be included on the album.
Somebody To Love
Soft acoustic intro, with those temple vocals, laden and accurate ...

Producers include: Matt Serletic, Kevin Shirley, Bill Ham, Jimmy Iovine, Marc Tanner. Compilation producers: Glen Brunman, John Kalodner, Kathy Nelson. Engineers include: David Thoener, Kevin Shirley, Obie O'Brien, Gary Tole, Shelly Yakus. Original theme composed by Trevor Rabin. "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Song Of The Year, Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal and Best Song Written For A Motion Picture Or For Television. While many soundtracks rely on flavor-of-the-month artists to increase sales, the musical companion to the astronomical-disaster film Armageddon leans heavily on the contributions of time-tested "classic" rock artists. Aerosmith is the most dominant presence here, as they offer up no less than four tunes, including the grand power-ballad "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and a slinky cover of "Come Together." The bearded boys of ZZ Top check in with "La Grange." AOR legends Journey turn up too, trying out new lead singer Steve Augeri, who unsurprisingly sounds rather similar to ex-Journey vocalist Steve Perry. Even Yes is represented, with guitarist Trevor Rabin's instrumental "Theme From Armageddon." Representing the more contemporary end of things are relative newcomers Chantal Kreviazuk and Our Lady Peace.
