For their second album, the Deftones pulled out all the stops. With a great production (again from Terry Date) and some excellant tunes such as My Own Summer (Shove It) and Get In a car And Drive (Far Away) this album is a clasic from start to finish. With great passion and intensity they take all the elements fo the first album and push them up to ten, and it is the sort of materila that goes over brilliantly in the live arena (which I haven't had the pleaseure of experiencing yet due to living in Northern Ireland....). Definetly up to the level of White Pony and better than Adrenaline, this is a must for all fans of new metal that can't arsed listening to Jonathon Davies moan .

Advantages: Beauitful masterpiece of lovely curved songs drifting into each other brilliantly. Disadvantages: A bit of a "sick" feeling, and lyrics people will struggle to understand.
