Artist Collection - TLC

Advantages: 2 CDs - bought it cheap from ebay - lots of songs
Disadvantages: had most of the songs anyway!

...This is a 2 CD album, i bought it dead cheap on ebay (about £3) - it's prob loads more expensive in the shops!!.. features loads of artists and songs - i'll go through as much of them as i can!!!.. Ok - CD 1.. First there is 'Off The Wall - Michael Jackson' - i like MJ so i think this is a good choice of song.. 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) - Michael, George & Aretha Franklin' - was a bit surprised about this song being on an RnB collection - even though Aretha is very soul/RnB - i would not have put this song in an RnB collection & plus i dont particularly think this is a very good song anyway (sorry any G Micheal fans!).. then we have 'Crazy In Love (no rap version) - Beyonce' - i absolutely hate this song now! it's been heard and played way too much and doesnt deserve to be on this album! im sure it is already... Advantages: Left Eye.
Disadvantages: Teaser. Brief. Rushed.

...If you don't like TLC from what you've previously heard you won't like this album. It is basically the same as "Fanmail". It isn't very original, same old tunes. The heavy basslines, the crunchy vocals, the catchy chorus etc. The album has 13 tracks but feels much shorter, and so you feel unfulfilled. Although it does have some good moments as well. I personally think the best thing about the album is the lyrics, which are almost poetic (in a sort of R&B way, if you get what I mean), they flow very well, and fit in with the classic nature of TLC's style. There's of course the same formula that I think every album is based on. A few dance-wothy tracks (destined for single status) followed by a slower song then followed by some filler tracks and then it goes out on a bang. Advantages: Great sounds, lots of great tracks
Disadvantages: Lisa will never be in the videos

...TLC are my favourite group and always will be, ven though they have lost a member, which happened to be by favourite. But I think Chilli and T-Boz will carry on with style and sexiness! This "last" album is great...like any other albums it takes you to listen to it a few times to become familiar to the lyrics, but the songs become very catchy with great lyrics by the girls. I am not sure which is my favourite TLC album, i guess a few songs from each album and that would be the best. I think this album is good value for money because there are a lot of tracks on the album compared with other artist's albums therefore offering the listener over an hour of entertainment. Also the majority of tracks are good to listen to, unlike other artist's albums were the only good tracks are the ones they have released in the charts and the rest you do... Read review
