Advantages: Glorious recorded sound, a fine group of soloists Disadvantages: Some fans may not like Sutherland in this music
...(singing for Toscanini). Her voice is very different from Angela Gheorghiu so if that is the sort of voice you like in this music you may be disappointed by Sutherland's style. Marilyn Horne is perhaps the most rounded of any of the soloists with a fine line and that glorious voice sitting well among these romantic surroundings despite her most commonly being associated with earlier works such as Rossini and bel canto.
