NO, I'm joking - There can never EVER be enough Ciao folk!!!! Sorry about that scare, now here's my latest scrawl.
In an interesting departure from my usual ‘sort’ of opinion, I’m going to embark down the music route. Nothing too odd about that you may think, I mean I’ve reviewed albums ... Read review

at composing from scratch: they discovered they had a much greater talent for ripping other people's works together to create a whole new sound of their own.As pioneers of the mash-up scene, the Soulwax boys were the first to actually get something into the public domain, and you can but wonder at how they managed to get most of the stuff on here cleared for use. Despite their clever moniker, 2 Many DJs is just two guys with a digital mixer and a box full of tracks that you'd never think to mix together. From Salt 'N' Pepa's "Push It" cut up with the Stooges' "No Fun", to Destiny's Child's "Independent Woman" over 10cc's "Dreadlock Holiday", blending seamlessly into Dolly Parton's "Nine to Five", the tracklisting may look like someone's idea of a joke, but somehow it works. This is quite possibly the ultimate party soundtrack with something for everyone and the emphasis firmly on fun. --Helen Marquis

Advantages: Clever, funky, pacey DJ mix album Disadvantages: Not something to buy for whole tracks
...was and still is described as indie. It’s so hard to pigeonhole indie though I believe. Something a bit different to the run of the mill cheese trash that’s churned out nowadays! Give me Haven, Belle and Sebastian, Electric Soft Parade, David Bowie, Blur, you know, something like anyday. Well most days……..
I do like a bit of dance music though. Not all the time, and sometimes I almost feel guilty about listening to dance. Whats dance though?? (there ... ...which is pleasing to me, as that’s one sound I don’t get on with. You don’t really hear any song in its entirety, for there are some 30 tracks included on the track listing. This isn’t a problem, as this is a pure album of fun, something to put on when you’ve got friends round (or when you’re on your own!) and just listen to an hour fly by while you reminisce. Interestingly, if you’ve been hearing that Kylie song mixed in with New Order’s Blue Monday, ...

Advantages: amazingly amazing tracks Disadvantages: might become too well known and spoilt
...if the music produced is as high quality as 2 many djs i really dont care. The tracks are all mixed in seamlessly and, much like a story, one song leads into a story, the beginning: basically the intro with an amazing mix of Basement Jaxx's Wheres your head at? and The theme, by Emerson, Lake and Parker or Peter Gunn. The middle, the vast chunk of the album is a cracking mix of many different music styles from the funky "Im waiting for my man" by ... ...cover is a great idea as is the secret track. The addition of a bonus track was originally a unique concept but nowadays more and more records include them at the end of the official tracks, separated from the track by a few minutes. The fad has faded, and so Soulwax have tried to start a new one. The track, Kylie Minogues Cant Get You Outa My Head, mixed with New Order's Blue Monday, is positioned before the pack, much harder to find by accident, ...

Advantages: Impressive DJ'ing. Disadvantages: Tracklisting a bit strange.
...to buy them a pint as they have inspired me to do something I never thought I would be able to do.
Even the packaging of the CD is clever, the CD itself looks like a CD-Rom that has been copied and the cover art is very punk-sex pistol-esque feturing a delightful picture of a suited guy wearing a paper bag on his head giving the two finger salute.
Perhaps the v-sign is a signal to those who made life so hard for 2 Many DJ's when they were puttin ... ...listen to everything and could even open your eyes to genres of music you would not normally think of listening to.
Go out and buy this album as soon as you can, it is the subject of many conversations and owning a copy is your key to musical enlightenment!! ...

Advantages: 61 minutes of art. Disadvantages: Listening to your other mix cds afterwards.
...2ManyDJ's have reinvented the mix CD full stop. Admirers of the dance mix need to reassess expectations of what is possible when you push play on your CD player. Over 45 tracks the boys genre-bounce seamlessly through a musical onslaught that's as detailed as it is danceable. Forget the monotonous bass line merges that you get from your annual Dave Pearce mix cd; here we have the Beatles bouncing off Dolly Parton between more familiar dance artists like Vitalic, Felix Da Housecat and Basement Jaxx.
Amongst the track into track mixing includes mashups of two or more songs playing simultaneously to create brilliance. Highlights include the 2manyDJ's favorite of The Stooges' 'No Fun' mixed with Salt n' Pepper's 'Push It'; the opening mash up of the Jaxx's 'Where's Your Head At' smashes your ears into something exciting...
