...Okay, so some of you may remember my last opinion that I wrote about Westlife. I was none to pleasant about them then, but am now prepared to eat humble pie and retract my hither comments. This is due to my going to their concert last saturday in Manchester. Having previously not been a fan of their music, I was mainly going for the night out. Imagine my shock when I realised that they could hold a tune, and dance to boot. It was a really good show, featuring all their number one singles, and some of their album tracks. I must confess to singing along a bit myself! What shocked me though was the fact that they never once sat on a stool for the whole show (I refer to their reputation as a band that never get up off their stools till the last chorus of the song). ...If someone asked me "What is your favourite CD, in the whole world?" I would definitely answer A Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars. If they then asked "Why?" I would say "Listen to it - you'll know why. The album offers songs for everyone, including an acoustic track 'A Modern Myth' which is simply, without a doubt the most beautiful, breathtaking song I have ever heard. The band 30 Seconds to mars I would say is for more those who are into alternative, punky, emo, rock type music.
