Album Notes: Blues rockers Humble Pie's 1969 debut AS SAFE AS YESTERDAY features ten songs with guitarist Peter Frampton and Small Faces' lead singer Steve Marriott.
Advantages: Well produced show Disadvantages: Someone turn Bryan's mike off
...Okay, so some of you may remember my last opinion that I wrote about Westlife. I was none to pleasant about them then, but am now prepared to eat humblepie and retract my hither comments.
This is due to my going to their concert last saturday in Manchester. Having previously not been a fan of their music, I was mainly going for the night out. Imagine my shock when I realised that they could hold a tune, and dance to boot.
It was a really good show, featuring all their number one singles, and some of their album tracks. I must confess to singing along a bit myself!
What shocked me though was the fact that they never once sat on a stool for the whole show (I refer to their reputation as a band that never get up off their stools till the last chorus of the song).

Advantages: Some Good Songs, Good Cover Disadvantages: Not A Cure Classic
...Three Imaginary Boys was the first studio Album released by the then three-piece Band known as the Cure. Originally released on vinyl back in 1979 I bought this record for a pittance and today I never cease to be amazed by the ridiculous amounts of money that this original vinyl record now changes hands for.

In 2005 the Cure re-issued this Album in a remastered CD format. This CD contains all of the twelve original tracks plus a bonus track of a previously unreleased song called "The Weedy Burton" which appears here as track 13.
The full track listing is as below:

The amazing cover of Fleetwood Macs "Black Magic Woman" is well complimented with other songs on the album - some vocal - some instrumental. These songs all come together well to make a brilliant album. To the new Santana fan, his newest album "Supernatural" is a break with his past - heavy use of vocalists and less percussion is an example of this. I highly recommend Abraxas to everybody - there is something for everyone in this seminal 44 minutes. I would recommend this album to be listened while calm - as many of the songs are slow and mellow. The young listener might not appreciate this album, but anybody over the age of 12 really should by this album and cherish it as a true great....
