Advantages: Lyrics, Songs, Lefteye Disadvantages: Going down
...Melanie C was definietly born to be a solo star. If this album is anythin to go by, she could be the next madonna. When she releases going down, I was disgusted- It was just crap. But then she released Northern Star, which is one beautiful song. If you listen carefully you will realise that there is a meaning behind it. I think critics should hear this album before critising.
Never be the same again deserved the number one stop and I hope I turn to You gets there as well.
Geri will soon vanish and Melanie C will be going on for years to come. You go girl!!...

Advantages: Up close and you get to see it all Disadvantages: Just not long enough
...Melanie C kicked off her new solo tour in Derby last night with the ist track from her album - "GO" and i was there to witness it.
She was totally hot! Unfortunately she broke her foot this week but that didn't stop her going wild.
She did all the tracks from the album plus a few even i didn't know. Of course a lot of people only knew the hits and they really showed it. The place went wild when she did Northern Star.
I think there was a little lull when she did the slow tracks, i never realised b4 how many slow songs there are on the album.
My fave song was "GOing Down" it just contained so much energy.
Melanie was on for just over an hour and a half. She came on with "Turn to you" as an encore of course that is what everyone was waiting for.
If there are any tickets left, i suggest you get along to one of the gigs country wide...

...Melanie C, in my opinion the most successful Spic Girl, has managed to produce an ecclectical album with something for everyone on there. Boasting the singles such as the rock influenced Going Down, sluchy pop ballad Northern Star, the R'n'B song Never be The Same Again (featuring Lisa ' Left-Eye Lopes') and now the remixed Ibiza smash I Turn To You, this album definitely has something that reaches out to everybody.
Melanie has managed to create a stunning album and the four singles off it show how she is growing in all directions and is reaching out to all areas of people. It is important for a pop artist to be able to do that and I think that Mel is doing it extremely well. I would definitely recommend this....
