Advantages: Absolutely fantastic, there's no other word to describe it Disadvantages: Silly rubber DVD nob and price can be hefty
...goes for the "Fall of Men" motif as well, which can only be heard twice here ("Prologue" and "Parth Galen"), both times showing the weakness of Men in face of the Ring.
LET'S LOOK AT THE SCORE AS A WHOLE
The biggest concern I had with this set was how well could the entire score handle isolation. Too much repeatitiveness and padding is a constant worry with "wallpaper" scoring and LOTR had lots of music. Well, I'm happy to report that this set works wonderfully well on its own. There are a few moments where there is distinct padding done, but on the whole the music is constructed so that there is minimally uninteresting moments (a pleasant surprise). Most of the tracks are built as long suites that often contain several cues that can be a good thing or a bad, depending how you enjoy these long presentations of music. In my opinion...

Jane Taylor writes the perfect song.
I say this not from a lyrical or phonetically correct standpoint, but simply from the point that she achieves what all artists strive for.
Audience connection.
It's pretty much instant. She plays a song and every single member of the audience thinks she wrote it just for them. And when you look at the faces around you, you know they are thinking what you are thinking and I think that must be the ultimate buzz for Jane, to look out over her audience and see that. Pretty impressive, I say!
