The Greatest Hits of the Lightning Seeds - ask the man in the street and he'd be hard pushed to name any of their hits apart from "Three Lions" with Baddiel and Skinner. However, this album has some truly outstanding songs, and most will sound familiar even if you don;t count yourself as a fan. Among the best tracks are "Life of Riley" made famous by use on Match of the Day, and Lucky You. The songs are all very catchy and will have you and your friends singing along in no time. It;s a pity that apart from the Three Lions collaboration, the Lightning Seeds are perhaps best known for the track which was used in the commercial for the Espace - the one set in the Alps. There is much more to the band than this, as their greatest hits show. I've had this album for two years now, and still listen to it regularly. Buy it and be pleasantly surprised.
