...With the 70's came the live album, and this rates up there with the best of them. Purple had Made in Japan and Yes had Yessongs, and now Ash had their Live Dates. Wishbone Ash had already released four excellent studio recordings, but like many bands in this era, they really came into their own on stage. Like Argus, their third album, no Ash fan should be without this album! All the classic Ash songs are on here: The King Will Come, Blowin' Free, Warrior, Pheonix, Lady Whiskey and many more. If you like guitar and vocal harmonies, then you'll like Ash, and you'll love this album. Wisbone Ash are still playing today, and are still well worth going to see. The US issue omits the tracks with * next to them but features the following tracks instead: Oh! You Pretty Things Be My Wife Look Back In Anger Cat People (Putting Out Fire) Loving The Alien Never Let Me Down Jump They Say Just for a bit of variety. If you're a collector it's worth having it for the difference, if you're not then it's not important. If you have a fair collection of Bowie LP's most of these tracks will be on them somewhere. ...Another great album from Bad Religion showcasing the excellant writing skills of Greg Graffin and Brett Gurewitz. It features many tracks that still appear in the set list today inlcuding the title track and 1,000 fools and you are the government. The album demonstrates them when they were a bit more frentic than they are today, with Brett Gurewitz's replacement Brian Barker failing to live up to him, and Greg taking a slightly more refained approach. A great album but their best is still Stranger Than Fiction, but it is still much better than New America or No Substance. Recommended for any melodic punk fan.... Read review
