After the death of the true "Babygirl", Aaliyah, most RnB fans were lost without a female representative of the culture that surrounds this genre of music. However, then came Ja Rule, with his hit "Always on Time", which not only featured, but highlighted the unmissable talents of this wonderful young singer.
Both gorgeous, and talented, Ashanti rocked the stage from that point on, and her debut album, the self-titled "Ashanti", rocketed up through the charts. Songs such as her debut solo single, "Foolish", "Happy", and "Leaving (Always on Time Pt.2)", all add to the sensual and deep flava that this album has to offer.
No-one can deny that this young songstress, though no Whitney, not only encapsulates true RnB of our generation, but also stands alone as an individual within the music scene today. Teeny-bopping female RnB singers are one-a-penny these days, but Ashanti offers that little bit more, with her music not only ranging from heart-felt accounts of loves lost, but also ending in a soulful, a cappella "Thank You" to all her fans and the people who helped her make it.
Now, that to me is not some little girl getting her 15 seconds of fame. Ashanti truly represents the ideal idol in this generation's society. A true star, in her own right!

Hiya, I would have given you a higher rating but you need to tell us more about this product. Most people that review albumns talk about them song by song, why they like them. I'd be happy to rerate if you update your review.
