Ashanti has just the right blend of style, sexiness and street attitude. She's pretty and ultra cool. She has a sweetness and class about her, yet she kicks it with the Murderers. She's everything the new princess of hip hop and RnB should be.
It was "a bottle of mixed emotions" for Ashanti to nervously see her debut album hit the stores, but she needn't of worried as it became a massive ... ...Ashanti felt crazy; "just in the air"!
She not only is a great singer but her song writing abilities shine too, she writes most of her own songs on here. Not only did she help pen the hit "Ain't It Funny (Remix)" for J-Lo and label mate Ja Rule but many others (including Enrique Inglesias) are jumping on the bandwagon and trying to get Ashanti to write their hits for them; "A couple of people have been kicking some things in my ear about the lyrics, ...

Advantages: Good Voice, Well Produced, Good Style Of Album. Disadvantages: Length Of Tracks, Quite Unoriginal, Skits (WHY, WHY, WHY???)
Ashanti is probably still most famous for her collaboration with Ja Rule on his massive hit “Always On Time”. Ja Rule even signed Ashanti to his record label Murda Inc. and she was the first signing to the record label. Ashanti also collaborated with Fat Joe on his hit “What’s Luv?”. She was responsible for singing the very catchy chorus. Because of Ashanti’s popular collaborations it seems she has gained instant ... ...been much better. Ashanti wrote the song Ain’t it funny (remix) for Jennifer Lopez and supposedly she even sang back up on I’m Real (remix) to beef up jLo’s thin voice, now I believe that.
Ashanti is going to be huge, and her debut album is worth a listen if you like R’n’B and pop. Her sound is great and I love her voice, it’s unique and you can tell it’s powerful unlike a certain Miss jLo. Don’t get ...

Advantages: Happy, Un/Foolish. Disadvantages: Dreams, VooDoo. Unoriginal, not eough variation.
1 - Intro
An effective mash of about seven songs featuring Ashanti, including "Always on Time" and "What's Luv?", which then introduces the next track, "Foolish.
8/10
2 - Foolish
Her first hit single, "Foolish" samples the late Notorious B.I.G.'s hit "One More Chance (Remix)", which sampled some track by Debarge. Great track, but not as good as B.I.G.'s original.
- 9/10
3 - Happy
The second single, and in my opinion, the best track of the ... ...few on the album. Ja Rule gives names her "the princess of Hip-Hop + RnB" at the beginning of this track - whether she deserves the title is questionable.
-10/10
4 - Leaving (Always on Time Part II) Ft. Ja Rule
For a track named "Always on Time Part II", you'd expect it to live up to the original, but this track lacks energy, and falls into the same trap some other songs on the album do.
- 7.5/10
5 - Narrative Call (Skit)
6 - Call
Not a bad ...

Nice. End of. Review ofAshanti [PA] - Ashantiby

Advantages: some good ones Disadvantages: some bad ones
People first started hearing about Ashanti when a couple of years ago she started appearing in other peoples music videos and collaborating with other, more established artists including Ja Rule in his song titled “Always On Time” and Fat Joe's single calleds 'Whats luv?'. After all these appearances people started to notice her and become more interested and sure enough, she released her first solo single, 'Foolish'.
Shortly before ... ...remix of 'Aint it funny', Ashanti wrote that song, and she sang the chorus on 'I'm Real', a fact that J.Lo was a little annoyed about when everyone found out... So it is obvious that Ashanti is not only a great singer but also a great songwriter, and worte / co-wrote the whole album.
So, starting with track number 1...

Ok, fairly unexciting stuff here, just a load of 'cut n paste' style bits of various collaborations with other artists. ...

Advantages: Most of the songs are fantastic Disadvantages: A couple of duff ones
Ashanti Douglas may have been most famous for her duets with Ja Rule and Fat Joe ("Always on Time" and "What's Love?" respectively) but when she brought out the song "Foolish" she proved she could cut it as a solo artist as well. And her album backed up this idea perfectly.
Ashanti's speciality appears to be a more laid-back, soul-based r & b than many of her contemporaries. This contrast is showed to an even greater extent when you consider she ... ...Ja Rule and similar acts to him. Her style of music is fairly rare in that area, although the fact that it is the likes of Ja Rule and Irv Gotti that produce much of her music that makes it slightly more streetwise when it could have ended up slightly bland (although them producing it in her second album didn't work out quite as well!)
"Foolish" - most people know this one, as it's her biggest solo hit. It's fairly sad in content, about a girl who ...
