Another American Singer, right?
Well not Ashanti.
Just 21 years old, Ashanti Douglas comes from Glen Cove,Long Island,Newyork,U.S.A.
Her first single 'Foolish' reached no 1 in the US charts along with her self titled album'Ashanti'.
Ashanti first appeared on our t.v screens in 2001 in always on time a RnB classic duet with herself and her record label mate, worldfamous rapper Ja Rule.
Always on time was also a massive hit but people still didnt know Ashanti well, until her First single Foolish was released and was no 1 world-wide for weeks.
Her second single Happy is just as good and her third single baby is a great catchy beat with a traditional piano begining to the song.

Ashanti's label group Murder Inc also make many songs so watch out for Ashanti in their songs too ( Down 4 u and the pledge).
