A fine movie roughly based on the 1976 original, (but maybe not as good)
There is plenty of action and thrills to keep everyone entertained and the special effects do give this version more credit on the thrills?
The story line is more up to date, using more sophisticated equipment and 21st century reasoning for why the precinct is under siege?

Assault On Precinct 13 is a remake of John Carpenter's film of the same name from the mid-seventies
THE STORY
It's New Year's Eve in Detroit, and the titular Precinct 13 is about to close down and be demolished. For Sergeant Roenik and his team, this should be an easy shift; the phones have been diverted, the cells are empty, it's simply a case of hanging out and seeing in the new year. There's a blizzard blowing outside, but Roenik and co. don't care. Unfortunately, the adverse weather conditions mean that a bus load of criminals, including the notorious Marion Bishop, has been re-routed to Precinct 13 for the night. Soon the cops find themselves under siege, outnumbered and outgunned by the masked men outside.

Two rats that were sent off in a rocket for a scientific experiment have returned, Washington and Jefferson are now equiped with alien technology to help them create a rat army. The Scratch Cats are a feline freedom group who are sent to stop the pests before the world is over run with them.
The game is in arcade style and you play as one of the scratch cats, there are over fifty levels (yes you heard right...) filled with rat destroying fun. Each level begins with a set number of how many rats you have to catch before the time ends, you lose all of your health points or if the rats have destroyed all of the objects in the room. First you must attack a rat by swiping them with your paw and then walk over them while pressing the x button so then you capture them ...
