Advantages: True roots style, fine sound quality, concious lyrics and that great bouncy live feel. Disadvantages: Too short, too few tracks. No lyrics with CD.
Possibly Aswad's finest album, 'Live And Direct' has a deep rootsy feeling with every track and includes some of the more popular tracks such as 'Roots Rocking' and 'Drum & Bass Line'. The tracks were recorded at London's Notting Hill Carnival in 1983 and provide 45 minutes of smooth, rolling, roots reggae. Apart from track #7, which has a carnival/Trinidad influence of fast drums, the rest is slower with more of the deep flowing bass line and conscious lyrics that fans will enjoy if they like Aswad's other studio albums.
Personally, I find tracks #5 and #8 the most enjoyable to listen to, with track #8 being a medley of four songs put together, but it's hard to fault any of the tracks.
As a conclusion, I feel this album is one for every fan of UK reggae and beats some of Aswad?s studio recorded albums. The sound quality is ...
Advantages: gentle, relaxing, cheap, some amazing songs Disadvantages: It's jammed in my laptop just now :(

The CD cover itself has a picture of Jane her self, dressed in a trendy denim jacket, her smile stretched broadly across her face. The colours behind her are beautiful; a shining shade of deep purple with a hint from silver stars. It's very attractive, definitely one to draw the attention in.
The Collection has nineteen tracks on it, each listed on the back of the CD case. I scanned over them briefly before listening, finding that I had heard of some of the tracks before. Though I was curious to discover ...
Advantages: Website is very straight forward and simple to use. Service is good value. Disadvantages: Goods very delayed. Might never have got there if I hadn't noticed a problem!
I recently bought some items with MandM Direct which unfortunately had to be returned (Superdry Clothing was not designed to fit "normal" people!) and noticed on their website that they were advertising a company that offered cheaper rates than Royal Mail for returning goods.
I had a quick look at the details and thought I would give it a whirl. So I went on and followed some very simple instructions on the Collect + website. I have to say that at this point I was very impressed as the website was easy to use and explained things very well.
You type in your postcode and it tells you the nearest place to take you parcel, which would be a local corner shop or similar. Then you have to book it in on the website and pay. Then you print a label out, stick it on the parcel and then take it to the place you chose. All very simple! I ...
