Advantages: Original, ground-breaking, Haven't sold out one bit Disadvantages: Some slower, more melodic songs
...Alot of Dillinger fans were worried before the release of 'Miss Machine' - worried about the band turning 'emo' or straying away from the unique, fragmented, ground-breaking style that made them famous within hardcore and metal circles. I can't speak for other fans, but as I had my first listen, I was not just relieved but completely blown away by the album.
The Dillinger Escape Plan are well known for playing music that can change in a second and go in a completely different direction. They are also well known for being extremely masterful of the instruments that they use; playing guitar pieces that the guitarists of other similar bands could only dream of playing. Not much has changed in these two aspects on 'Miss Machine'. What has changed however, is that Dillinger have added slightly more melody than is used to from the band...

Advantages: Fantastic bassline. Original sounds. Good chioce of tracks. Disadvantages: It's music designed for sound systems. Sound quality suffers.
...are taken from the 1970s and compiled under the ‘Ocho’ label. The album is over an hour and four minutes long.
Cassava Piece is the first and arguably the best track. It is from the ‘Original Rockers’ album and is the best introduction for any listener wondering what is to come. The second track ‘Baby I Love You So’ carries on from the first with the same addictive rhythm but with the voice of Jacob Miller on top singing the song from his 1992 album ‘Who Say Jah No Dread’, a great album itself. The third track ‘555 Crown Street’ is as promised, weighed down with bass and followed by an alternate dub track by KingTubby who engineered the album. If you haven’t heard any August Pablo material before, you’ll probably notice the melodica sounds before long. Compare At King Tubby's - Dillinger to other similar Reggae & Ska
