At Last... The Duets Album - Kenny G

Smooth Kenny gets Jazzy.

Advantages: Some smooth playing.
Disadvantages: Bit too smooth.

Classics in the key of G - Kenny G Well, as promised, it is time to review some jazz, but for those detractors, I'll start with smooth, then will gradually work up to some nice hard jazz, swing and bebop. Kenny G is a very interesting saxophonist, not least in that he does not fit the mould of a classic jazz saxophonist; in fact many jazz fans are ardently NOT Kenny G fans. He looks more like an 80's prog rock star, all long perm and casual clothes. In addition he is much too 'smooth' for many jazz fans, you are certainly more likely to hear Kenny g in the lounge of a hotel than you are Albert Ayler or Ornette Coleman. His main instrument is soprano sax, but he does play alto and tenor as well. At Last the iphone go's 3G

Advantages: Looks, Wifi, 3G, Screen Quality
Disadvantages: Limited to the 02 Network, Camera

At Last the Iphone has gone 3G - why they didnt do this with the first on I will never know!!! Welcome Apple to the real world of Mobile Phones, but this 3g iphone isnt just a phone - its like a mini pc.. The minute you put the phone in your hand you can feel the quality, very well built with an excellent responsive touch screen,I recommend a screen cover for this phone which are widely available so as to prevent sratches. The cover does lose sensitivity, but not much and is still responsive. This phone has Wifi which is an excellent feature. This a supreme gadget, it just hapens to be a phone aswell. With Apple introducing 3G to this phone opens up features like Video streaming and faster internet access. Talk time on this phone is an impressive 10hrs with standby time being in excess of 280hrs. So Saxy

Advantages: Relaxing, accessible
Disadvantages: Not for purists or snobs

express emotion through his saxophone playing and one is left in no doubt which emotion he is trying to convey. Meditaitive to the core, the lack of musical challenge is what makes this album and what allows the listener to engross themselves in the moment in their own way. Having just typed that last sentence I may just have explained to myself the title of one of Kenny's other albums, "The Moment", but I digress. All the tracks are worthy of inclusion in the album with none falling short of Mr G's usual standards. The two vocal tracks, "By The Time This Night is Over" and "Even If My Heart Would Break" fit well within the album and the atmosphere created by the instrumental tracks is left intact.
