"At the end of the cliche" is the debut album from Carl Cox. Previously he has released many mix compilations and vinyl dance tracks. This album dispels cliche ridden preconceptions about what his music is all about. It is a much more relaxing slower paced album than his live DJ sets. The same excellence is there in his DJ'ing as in his producing, although the styles are quite different. The album is a very good chill-out album, but not what some people would expect from Carl Cox. It contains the two top 40 singles Phoebus Apollo and Sensual Sophis-ti-cat.
