Advantages: Classic twotone ska sound with an edge of punk
Disadvantages: On occasion striving for originality

...'For Refund Insert Baby' is Zen Baseballbat's second release and is indeed a solid follow up to their debut 'I am the Champion Concrete Mixer'. Zen once again deliver an album full of ska/reggae tracks that are laden with that taste of punk typical of the current UK ska scene. The album echoes of the two tone era and hails back to the darker days of ska; however, that is not to say that 'For refund Insert Baby' lacks the upbeat edge found in all good ska albums - it's almost impossible to resist dancing to many of the standout tracks (such as 'Some Like It Cold'). 'For Refund' brings 12 tracks to the table, all of which I enjoy to one extent or another; however, I can't help but feel that the latter half of the album is far stronger than the opening half.
