Advantages: Buy this album and you'll enhance your CD collection greatly, plus gain the title of "Demon of Good Music" from your friends. Disadvantages: Disadvantages?
...The first time I heard Coldplay was on the Steve Lamaq show on Raio 1 about 2 years ago. They were the very first 'unsigned band' played on Steve's show, and I thought at the time that we might hear more from them. I then saw them in Leicester last year, shortly before they released their first single.
I wasn't blown over by their music - it all seemed a bit unoriginal and run of the mill, and I wasn't greatly impressed to the point of buying their material. However, either they didn't play Yellow when I saw them, or I am very forgetful, because when I heard Yellow, I was astounded by it's power and ferociousness, coupled in an amazing fusion with it's beautiful lyrics.
And so at the turn of my 22nd birthday I received their album, Parachutes. I submit to the fact that there are similarities with Radiohead, Mudhoney, Muse and a host...

Advantages: Diverse, creative, catchy alternative rock. Disadvantages: Very slightly patchy.
...The major label breakthrough for the band who started out playing their new style of rock in pizza parlours and rundown churches. 11 years after forming, the greatest musical talent ever to grace the planet (in my humble opinion) are recognised by the world.

This is followed by what is perhaps the bands best known work to date: Losing My Religion. An effortlessly catchy slice of folk-rock with off-kilter instrumentation by the wonderfully talented Peter Buck. Sandwiching this pop triumph is Low...

Prior to his success on the show, Mills worked as a Director for a Kent Marquee hire company and played in a band called "Benzego". Involved with various aspects of music from an early age and having attended the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guilford, Surrey, Mills is both a talented singer and musician.
Mills wowed audiences up and down the country with passionate and powerful performances of rock n' roll tracks including Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home To Me", Queen's "Somebody to Love" and Rod Stewart's "Maggie May"; all of which are long standing favourites of mine. I sat glued to the television set every Saturday evening during the series and picked up my...
