At The Movies - David Essex

...brilliant and is excact to the show that it reperesents too.. Every time i put this CD on I will close my eyes and still see the preformance on the stage... David Essex still does a lot on the music scene today, ok he tends to do more touring around than he does in the recording studios,, but his fans still love him as though they did back all the way through the 1970's. David Essex is a unique entertainer that can cover a wide range of things, from song writing to singing, to stage shows, big screen movie and has even been involved in a sit-com The River, so has covered a lot. I think that is why I have loved him so much throughout the years. I think I first heared him back in 1971! So some time since! And he still is putting on concerts for his adoring fans every where. Advantages: Adds superbly to the film

...Here is a rehash of this review which I wrote ages ago and to be quite honest is only renewed because the film is coming out and everyone should have this album. I have had this album for years - I knew David Essex when he was perfroming in his parent's shed and I knew the War of the Worlds when it was a minor dispute over fishing rights in the Adriatic. Enjoy Few would have believed that David Essex's contribution to the future wisdom of the ages would be anything as monmental as a musical version of H.G.Wells' - War of the Worlds. After the catastrophe that was a 1950s B-movie of the book this story needed something to impress its power on the world again. And in the 1970s it had just that. The entire story of War of the Worlds which had sent America into a panic, (not dissimilar to the situation now), in the 1930s was back... Read review

...This CD is a must for any ageing David Essex fan. The picture on the cover is enough to make any girl go weak at the knees! Look at those beatiful blue eyes- yummy! I keep the CD propped up next to my computer so I can look at him ....aawwww But enough of that- what about the music? This CD is a greatest hits record, and that's what it delivers.
