Uninhabited. Ambient Sounds of Nature
Review of Ambient Sounds Of Nature Vol.1 (Uninhabited) - Various Artists by Martinscholes

Advantages: A wonderful symphony
Disadvantages: None

...I must admit that I am a fan of ambient music. By this I mean music that employs the ambient sounds of nature, melding and mixing them with newly-composed pieces of music. This type of music has been around for many, many years. An early example which you might have heard is the Nightingale recorded by the BBC in 1920 when it sang along to the cello playing of Beatrice Harrison. It really is a delightful piece, still re-broadcast every-so-often by the BBC to this day. The CD Uninhabited, Ambient Sounds of Nature might not be in the same class as that tiny little Nightingale, but it is a really suburb CD. The tracks are Tempestuous, Turblent, Rolling booms, Passionate, Uninhabited (the title track) and Random Flashes. The performance is by Levantis. Each piece uses modern music combined with natural sounds (the voices of humans... Read review

Atomic Express
Review of Right Now - Atomic Kitten by Popalot

Advantages: Pioneers at the time for girl groups, the kittens have a great girlie album here
Disadvantages: Poppy to the max

...depths of a slumping showdown. The words are easy to remember and the melody is touching. 10/10 4. Eternal Flame: A bangles classic, the kittens have copied the song with every aspect to a t. I think it is wonderful that they never butchered the original artists work where some people can quite literally kill the song. You get addicted and want to sing along. 9/10 5. Tomorrow and Tonight: About being there always and wanting loving at all times. Ok. 6/10 6. Get Real: Not that good and weakens the album, still a commendable attempt by the Kittens. 5/10 7. Turn Me On: This is about what Atomic Kitten like in a man. Comme ci comme ca, havent we heard this all b4? 6/10 8. Hippy: Unusual song I would say. I like the title as no other songs have the same and it reminds us of an era of wild, colourful people and ways. 6/10 9. You Are: I... Read review

The Best Dance Album ...if you like it!
Review of Best Dance Album In The World...ever Vol.13, The - Various Artists by teenage_legend

Advantages: Good price, inspiring & funky!!
Disadvantages: A wee bit ancient...

...This is a compilation of some of the most successful artists who were topping the charts in 2003, although I personally find that the first CD has the better tracks - with the exception of Girls Aloud's 'Sound of the Undergound', 'Tell it To My Heart' by Lorenna, Kelly, 'U Can't Touch This' by Bean and Cyrus/MC Hammer, and Atomic Kitten's The Tide is High. The tracks are uplifting and I usually put this onto my CD alarm clock in the morning because it helps me to wake up and bounce out of bed! It is definitely a dance album, but full of great feel-good tunes such as 'I see you baby' and 'make luv' which make it suitable for listening to anywhere... In the car, in bed, at work/school + especially when you need some chocolate and music therapy! I have put most of the tracks onto my MP3 player so that I can listen to them when I'm bored...
