Reviews which might be of interest for "Avant-Garde In Belgium 1917-1978 Vol.3 (Le Groupe Surrealiste Revolutionnaire, Dotremont Et Broodthaers - 1939 - Various Artists"
Advantages: Good choice of tracks. Good cover versions. Diversity of artists. Disadvantages: Can't think of any other than maybe a couple of strange choices for covers.
of the same song, one a cover and the other a new version by the original artist. Check out Sam Sparro's version of "American Boy" then listen to Estelle's new version of her own song and see which you prefer.
Most of the cover versions are pretty good but be prepared for a few surprises. In my opinion some covering artists would be natural choices e.g. Newton Faulkner covering Kate Nash's "Foundations" or REM covering Editors "Munich" which I think is excellent. On the other hand I wouldn't expect The Script to cover Enimem on "Lose Yourself" which I think works well, or The Feeling to cover Kelly Rowland's "Work".
There are some songs I don't like which I have a different opinion of now having heard the Live Lounge version. One in particular is "Blinded By The Lights" by The Streets. I think this version is much better.

Advantages: Consistency of sound, not mixed, great value Disadvantages: Formulaic after a while, lacks credibility
released, neither is included here probably due to the fact that Data Records is still trying to promote the original artist’s album. If you are looking for a compilation of all the chart hits then you might be better off looking for one of the Now Dance series instead. The appeal of Clubland 3 for me is discovering new tunes or re-discovering records that you’ve previously heard in the clubs.
As it would be impractical (and very time-consuming) to review all 41 tracks, I’ll once again try and stick to giving a run down of my favourite tracks. With volume three, it’s harder than ever because there are so many songs here that I really like, but I’ll do my best.
PLUMMET – DAMAGED
The standout song of the album, the year and probably the decade – I love this song more than words can say. Damaged ...
Advantages: Great songs Disadvantages: The extras are rubbish and some weaker songs on it
Reloaded Vol3
I bought this CD when it first came out in 2001. I remember wandering around Woolies with about £30 in my pocket. I bought this CD and another compilation album. I think it cost me £14.99 but of course now it's 4 years later. You can find it on Amazon for about 50p and on Ebay starting from 10p. For 37 tracks, I think that's a big bargain. Also on Amazon, you can hear samples of all the songs, which is very useful to know if you'll like the whole album or not.
Reloaded 3 is the third double CD in the Reloaded compilation list. I can't comment on how much better or worst it is to the other 2 before this album as I've never heard them but I can tell you that this album definitely grows on you.
The cover is a lovely army camouflage which figures through out the CD case and it says Massive Hits From ? The lay ...
