'The BBC Sessions' is a compilation album by The Beautiful South. Released in 2007, it is a good mixture of all their greatest hits; 'Sail this ship alone', Song for whoever', Old red eyes is back', 'perfect 10', 'dumb' and my personal favourite 'a little time'.
This is actually a really good 2 disc special to have in your collection if you are a fan of the band as there are some really nice treats like the bands own version of 'use it up wear it out'!
The unusual thing about this album is that it has 4 different versions of 'You keep it all in' and 2 versions of 'Old red eyes is back'. This is really good if you are a fan of those particular songs and enjoy hearing slightly different versions of each, but I must admit that the charm of this wore off pretty quickly for me and I ended up skipping these tracks after a while.
Summary: Great band and great hits, but this compilation isn't the best ever released.
