...Ten years ago I was introduced to a French rap artist by the name of MC Solaar. The album in question was called Qui Seme le Vente Recolte le Tempo and I remember being pretty impressed by the slick, jazzy hip hop that was unlike anything I’d heard before. I’m not a great fan of this style of music, but I clearly recollect thinking… oh, this is good. Completely different to the grating, bassier NWA and Public Enemy I’d been exposed to previously, MC Solaar was much smoother, more melodic, altogether a more complete musical experience. Think of maybe a more mature Cypress Hill, minus the playground rhymes and annoying vocals.
But that was then. To my shame I didn’t followed him up until recently. I was actually looking up some info about a Senegalese vocalist called BaabaMaal, who you may or may...

...I have a long standing vendetta with Texas, and it appears that evey single song of theirs released I have hated, until now. "In Demand" has been buzzing around my head all day, leaving me singin little snippets of it much to the annoyance of my friends. But it is a highly catch tune :) (if a little annoying after 100 or so playings).

The album entitled "Clearing Out the Vaults" is set to be released at the fall of this year, and I for one can't wait. I just hope it isn't over-priced. It's gonna be a must have for any 2Pac fan. 2Pac is the best rapper that ever lived in my opinion, and he will be for a long time. This album should hopefully compliment 2Pac. Just one thing I can't understand is that why doesn't Death Row release the CD's seperately and make alot more money out of them? This 4 CD set is good for the fans, but it has it's down sides. It means that 2Pac CD's will run out as Death Row won't have any more material, and Amaru Records, run by his mother, won't have all that much. But that can't be changed and I can't wait...
