Advantages: Beautiful relaxing music. Rich instrumentation. Played with passion. Disadvantages: Not all instruments are from the period.
...If I was ever asked to select my "desert island discs", top of my list would be Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. (I wonder if there's a category in the ciao café?. . . ) The six Brandenburg concertos, each with their distinct quality and sound requiring a different combination of instruments, are not only a delight to listen to but exemplify the intellectual musical genius of their composer, Johann Sebastian Bach. All six are composed in major keys creating and maintaining a cheerful, vivacious collection. The modulations of key demanded by the baroque conventions are skilfully completed and Bach's predilection for numbers and ornate touches are evident. I could say more but this isn't a musical analysis . . .
I am not alone in my high estimation, The Brandenburg concertos are now probably the best loved and most frequently performed works...

Advantages: Just a single... Disadvantages: None for U96 fans
...If you heard the Das Boot of 1992, you should think about buying the
Das Boot 2001. New remake of the greatest techno hit of 1992 was made
by the U96 itself! I think what if you a really loving techno you needs this CD. All tracks made in traditional U96 style-electro techno. But some tracks may be made more technous, so it's only for fans of U96. Watch more MTV programs and you can see their clip on Das Boot 2001, which contains some parts of the Das Boot of 1992
If you don't listen the Das Boot, you don't listen TECHNO !!!...

...I was introduced to the music of Krishna Das by my wife. And God bless her for that, says I! For Krishna Das is well, he just IS.
Live on Earth is a great introduction to the music of Krishna Das. Krishna Das is an American by birth, and a Hindu. By conviction.
His music is a wonderful exploration and celebration of his faith, that of the Hindu.
To listen to the music of Krishna Das is to invite a very special experience into one's very soul.
