A.I. Artificial intelligence--updated 14 june 09

Advantages: directed by Steven Speilberg- The story draws you in /good fantasy sci- fi story
Disadvantages: some might find it slow in places ....

liked the fact that I would never have guessed what would happen in this film it was not a predictable story line for me in the slightest so it really held my attention throughout. The film is over 2 hours long but I don't think you will be dissapointed if you are a spielberg fan and you are into your sci-fi then you will really like it. Go on ,go watch it! I bought the following : 2 DISC SET SPECIAL FEATURES all newly produced exclusively for this dvd -Documentary on bringing A.I. to the screen -Interviews with Steven Spielberg,Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law -Newly-Produced behind the scenes featurettes on the making of A.I -An interview with sound designer Gary Rydstrom at skywalker ranch. -A visit to stan winston studios with early ''Teddy'' footage -Interviews with lucas films ILM special effects group -Trailors ...

Review of A.I. Artificial Intelligence DVD

A.I. - Not A1, Just O.K.

Advantages: Jude Law, Haley Joel Osment and TEDDY!!!
Disadvantages: The last part...

Normally, I like to review a film straight after watching it, while my thoughts are still predominantly focused on what I have just seen. However, this time, I am attempting to write this a couple of weeks after watching the film. Why? Because it has taken a while to decide how I felt about it. But I decided I did want to try to review it, so although I am unsure how this review will go, I’ll give it a try. Film reviews are relatively easy if you love or hate a film. Even if the film is dull and boring, you can usually get a decent enough review out of it. With this film, all three apply. I hated parts of it, I loved parts of it and some bits were just dull with a capital D. AI : ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SO WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT THEN? The film begins with us discovering how far advanced technology is. As Professor ...

Review of A.I. - Artificial Intelligence (DVD)

A.I. - Aweful, Bizarre, Endless.

Advantages: Teddy - hes a star
Disadvantages: Rediculous story line and twists. A real waste of good subject matter.

I have not written a review on this site for a very long time, but having seen A.I. last night I very much feel the need. This film has had a huge amount of hype, and has generally had pretty favourable reviews. I cannot for one second understand why! It is quite simply one of the most bizarre, one of the most meaningless, and definately one of the worst films I have ever seen, not helped by the fact that it seemed to drag on for an ice age. As anyone reading this review probably already knows, the film is about a mecha (robot) boy, played by Haley Joel Osment. He was created to be the first robot capable of independant motivation, and of love. His self-motivation leads him to be typically jelious of his returning 'orga' (organic - real) brother, but this soon leads him on a pinnochio motivated adventure to find the Blue Fairy ...
