Advantages: Some excellent production and lyrics; ONE MIC and 2ND CHILDHOOD are CROWNED Queensbridge classics Disadvantages: One disappointing guest rapper - AZ remains a SLAVE to THE FLYEST / Some overrated lyrics
..., the Large Professor produced Nas' first ever classic single - 'Halftime'.
The Large Professor creates a relaxing, Mexican-style, soulful beat for Paul Sea Productions. He starts off YOU'RE DA MAN, with a combination of soft harps and violins and soon adds dove whistles to the equation. These musical elements have a cinematic edge and sound like they were sampled from a classic, 1970s Western movie. After 18 seconds, the production eventually kicks off in high quality with scaling drum claps played over relaxing mixtures of Mexican harps, violins and mourning dove sounds. The beats provide a pleasant, laid-back atmosphere for Nas to narrate a tale about his current status in the rap game. Furthermore, Large Professor samples a mourning voice of a man who sings '....You're the man....' eight times in the hook.

Advantages: The voice of an Angel ; Title track being one of the best folk rock songs Disadvantages: Some weak tracks ; Not on the same par as Fairport Convention or Fotheringay
...tells a beautiful story, the thickets of imagery within, the opening music and of course Sandy's enchanting voice. Always was a sucker for the organs hehe, lovely backing music, the chorus has a certain magic unravelling before your eyes and seemingly wrapping itself around your mind, extremely warping your imagination. This song is really just too good to sum up in a few tacky words i urge you to listen to this one in particular it may get you hooked into folk for good.
' They stood upon the deck
As the ship went out to sea.
The wind it took the sails
And left the land a memory.
All upon the shore for
To wonder why the sailor goes.
All to close their eyes
And wonder what the sailor knows.'
11. CRAZY LADY BLUES - 3:26
The closing track and a great send off for what has been a splendid piece of folk rock art and all it...

Advantages: You can see the concert on DVD Disadvantages: You get a lot of audience shots and documentary

Paul McCartney is a giant of musical creativity and a great singer and performer still rightly venerated by most of the world forty years after he first became famous.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to have grown up in the 1960s there were other giants. John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin… the list goes on. What we didn’t know then is how spoilt we were. We thought that this standard of song writing and musical innovation was quite normal.
Time has marched...
