Back To Earth - Eat Static

Advantages: A fine album with great lyrical content.
Disadvantages: All ballads.

...--BACK TO BEDLAM-- James Blunt came onto the scene in 2005 with the release of this first album, the highly impressive 'Back To Bedlam'. Ex Army Captain, and guard at Buckingham Palace, Blunt totally changed his direction in life, to pour out his heart to music with the release of his hugely romantic and heartfelt debut album. I first heard the track 'You're Beautiful' playing on the radio and I wondered who the singer was, as I really liked the track. I then bought the album on the strength of it. I think a lot of people did the same. 'You're beautiful' really is an absolutely stunning song and I needed to own a copy of the album so I could play this track whenever I liked, and probably on repeat. - James Blunts first single release was 'High' in Oct 2004, which reached 148 in the charts, though I don't remember hearing... Advantages: Kockanski is dead
Disadvantages: unfunny, awkward, derivative and cringeworthy

...After the abominable car-crash that was Red Dwarf series 7,which removed the laughter track and made the transition from endearing sci fi sitcom to cringeworthy and unfunny sci fi comedic melodrama, the show hinted that it might be back on track once more with series 8, which, though still greatly inferior to series 1-6, reintroduced the laughter track and largely returned to the original sitcom formula, making the show at least watchable once more. 'Red Dwarf- Back to Earth' mercilessly crushes these hopes however, acting as the long-running series' swansong and a crushingly disappointing one at that. The premise is an unoriginal one- the crew discover that they are in fact just characters on a tv show, and end up returning back to Earth in order to kill their creator before he can kill their characters off once and for all... Fox and Christopher Lloyd play there parts brilliantly, if somewhat over the top at times.
