Nothing special about this one really, a bit of a filler really...

What a vocal ! And more italian piano.

Maybe it's this extended 12" mix (that Hed Handi is all about), but I remember this track being much better...

WHAT'S THIS THEN?

This is a series of four 2CD compilations from a label call Hed Kandi. What they've done is licensed a host of classic club tracks from the late-80's through to the mid-90's and put them onto a series of superb compilations. The label itself ran a night called BackToLove at the club Subterranea in London and a lot of these classic tracks were played there. Hed Kandi built up a following and hit upon the idea of releasing this series of albums. They are called: BackToLoves 1 to 3 and BackToLove 03.02.
The great thing about these albums are, for me, twofold:
-the tracks are unmixed and therefore you get the full, 12" versions
-each compilation has themed CDs. CD1 is dance and CD2 is classic soul and rap

Advantages: A fine album with great lyrical content. Disadvantages: All ballads.
for track this is a staggeringly beautiful album. James Blunt has been likened to David Gray and Damien Rice. Again I think Blunt, like Damien Rice, is an artist in his own right. It is quite hard to put this type of singer into a specific category. What I really like is the fact he has not rushed to get another album out to run off the back of this one. Careful lyrical content and a love of his craft makes this an album of excellence and not one track let the album down as a whole. I think James Blunt takes a lot of stick. I'm not too sure why. Perhaps it is seen as 'not cool' to admit to liking him. Whatever, I definitely recommend this album if you like honesty and truth from your lyrics. The musical arrangements are quite understated, allowing the lyrical content to dominate. Backto Bedlam is an album that I play often and I am proud to have ...
