Advantages: Fantastic Full-Length Dance Classics
Disadvantages: A few substandard fillers...

...I've got all the Back To Love compilations from Hed Kandi of of "classic tracks that gave birth to a whole generation of clubbers", and was listening to this one (well, both CD's in this double-pack actually) in my car earlier today, so though't I'd let you know what I thought... --- CD1 1. "You're gonna miss me" - Turntable Orchestra (original mix) Classic "italian house" piano, and a great baseline 2. "Love will find a way" - Victor Romeo feat. Latrice Brown Nothing special about this one really, a bit of a filler really... 3. "See the day" - Ann Consuelo (Stonebridge mix) What a vocal ! And more italian piano. 4. "Aftershock" - Slave to the Vibe (12" club mix) Maybe it's this extended 12" mix (that Hed Handi is all about), but I remember this track being much better... 5. "Push the feeling on... Read review

...Back to Mine – The Orb The Back to Mine series is a series of records that are compiled by well known musicians and DJ’s to give to their fans an idea of what the music would be like if they went back to a party with them. The CD has the slogan “A personal collection for after hours grooving” which pretty much sums it up. The series started back on the 1st February 1999 and was compiled then by DJ Nice Warren. Since then there have been a further 24 albums with the most recent being Röyksopp in April 2007. The 25 different artists have included the likes of Groove Armada, Underworld, Faithless and the Pet Shop Boys. This time it was the turn of The Orb. Advantages: Very relaxing, something a bit different
Disadvantages: It ain't to everyone's taste lol

...Well it looks like it's back to the grindstone for me then. Having not even contemplated doing a music op for over a week now, I'm sitting here feeling quite proud of myself, yes I can write about other things apart from music and it was nice to do so, having a break while I rooted through my collection trying to find albums to recommend to you people out there. I never tend to give albums bad reviews, and this is probably because I don't own many albums that I don't like, cos I do my research first you see before purchase, or sometimes just buy on the strength of an artist's reputation, knowing that everything they produce is going to be mint anyway so if you don't know too much of the material on the album you don't have to worry about it. I'm trying to remember how I first discovered Morcheeba and I seem to recall that it came... Read review
