Good film, good tracks. That pretty much describes this disc in a nutshell. Whenever you get an action comedy type film like this theres always a few interludes with dialouge from the film. This is no exception with 4 out of the 18 tracks lines from the film. 'What are you a cop or a model' is probably my fav. Will only hit home if youve watched the film though.
In my opinion, soundtracks can be a bit hit and miss. This goes the same way, some good tracks which could have easily been released as singles and some average fillers that you know will never listen to again. The tracks that P Diddy has had involvement in are far and away better
Show me your soul - P.Diddy, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell & Loon. Single and video released. Good tune. La-La-La - Jay Z. Remix of 'Excuse Me Miss' which got a lot of airplay and was a big hit in the clubs, Neptunes on the production Shake ya tailfeather - Nelly, P Diddy, Murphy Lee. Single and video released. Good tune Girl Im a Bad Boy - Fat Joe, P Diddy, Dre. Probably the best tune on the album with Dre's vocals contributing to the chorus. Keep Giving Your Love to Me - Beyonce. Not a bad tune this one, took a while to grow on me but the production and vocals stay with you which is probably why its hard to get out your head! Realest Ni**as - Notorious BIG & 50 Cent. Poor. Using biggies lyrics in another song together with fiddy just dont go. Not with the poor beats Flipside - Freeway. Another excellent club track, famous for its use in You Got Served dance sequences. Gangsta Sh*t - Snoop & Pharrell. Probably only took them 20 minutes to knock up and you can tell Pretty Girl Bullsh*t - Mario Winans & Foxy Brown. Mario Winans voice just about carrys this track but Foxy is just poor, just a name to add to the track but doesnt contribute anything significant Love Dont Love Me - Justin Timberlake. Timbaland production, not a bad track, not one of his best but a catchy chorus and good lyrics. It just doesnt do much Relax Your Mind - Loon. Loon's voice can get annoying if its not broken up by another artist. Not a good track Didnt Mean - Mary J Blige. Poor, boring, flicked over after 10 seconds Why - Da Band. Why indeed. Wanna Be G's - MOP & Sheritha Lynch. Havent heard much of MOP since this tune, not suprised really.
Half of the cd is good, is that good enough considering 4 tracks are film dialogue?
