This album (Michael Jackson's "BAD") was firstly released in 1987, it achieved six number one titles. It was so memorable that it was re-released in as a special edition of the original album which includes 3 previously unreleased tracks a new colour booklet, and interviews with Quincy Jones on the making of the album
The tracks :-
1. Bad - Definitely one of Michael Jackson's most famous songs. With its funky beats, catchy lyrics (especially the chorus), and the unlikely keyboard solo in the middle of the song. This is a brilliant track to start the album with and gets you in the mood for what is to come.
2. The Way You Make Me Feel - Starts of with a bass line that sounds similar to the sounds made by a train going along the tracks. It is then joined by Michaels unique voice as well as a synthiser and later some brass accompaniment. The song is fuelled with Michaels classic calls of "Hee he" and "Owa" as well as excellent lyrical content. You really feel that he is opening his heart to a girl.
3. Speed Demon - Beware if you are listening to this song in the car as you may think that a motor bike is about to ride over the top of you. (It often catches me out) This is definitely one of my favourite songs. I love listening to this song whilst driving along the motorway in my car. I like the beats used, the way that Michaels voice sounds almost aggressive in this song, and the saxophone solo in the middle. Brilliant.
4. Liberian Girl - This song is one of the "chilled out" tracks on the album but the slow and soft beat mixed with Michaels vocals, helps conjure up images of this "Liberian Girl" as being mysterious and beautiful.
5. Just Good Friends - This song uses a lot of doo doo doo's and synthised noises, which for some reason always reminds of Price/ The Artist Formally Known as Price (maybe it was the influence of Stevie Wonder). I think it is for that reason that this song is possibly my least favourite.
6. Another Part Of Me - After a couple of tracks that are a little disappointing, Michael picks up the tempo again with this superb track. It has a very 80's beat, and gets you back in the mood to dance.
7. Man In The Mirror - This is a lovely song about making a difference, to the world and starting with yourself. The chorus is catchy and as the song progresses the song becomes more lively adding more and more elements and by the time you come to the end the music is more lively and there seems to be a choir singing along with Michael.
8. I Just Can't Stop Loving You - This song starts of with Michael singing accompanied by just a piano and a soft beat in the background. After the first verse Siedah Garrett joins the song and then they sing alternate verses to each other and combining for the chorus. This is a really romantic song and as the song goes on they both seem to get more and more passionate about the words they are singing.
9. Dirty Diana - This is quite a rocking song, when you get to the chorus you are met with guitars, heavy drum beats and screaming fans, with Michaels angry passionate vocals over the top. This is an excellent track and quite different to the others on the album.
10. Smooth Criminal - Another legendary song from this album. This is quite a dark song with excellent use of Michaels high and low pitched vocals, which adds a third dimension to his music.
11. Leave Me Alone - This is the last song of the original album and I would say that this is a brilliant track to round the album off, as well as leave you wanting more. The beat again brilliant along side the lyrical content and the unique layering of Michaels vocals.
BONUS TRACKS FROM THE 2004 RELEASED "BAD - SPECIAL ADDITION"
12. Street Walker - I can understand why this wasn't put on the original album as it doesn't really fit it. This is not to say that it is not a great song. Its just not as strong as the others.
13. I Just Cant Stop Loving You (Spanish) - Just like the original only features Michael singing in Spanish.
15. Fly Away - Another song that doesn't really fit in with the album. I'm not sure whether I say that just because I haven't heard it as part of the album before. It just seems to be on a different level. It is mellow and laid back, it doesn't contain the classic beats that I associate with this album.I can almost guarantee that anybody who likes music will love the original and the special edition of this album. I strongly recommend it to anybody

...floor classic “Billie Jean”.
Bad is Michael’s follow up to the immensely successful Thriller, many say it is not up to the standards of Thriller, but to any Michael fan it holds the key to many other unbelievably fantastic tracks. Bad has achieved the multi-platinum status and can still be heard on many peoples CD players now. For me “Bad” represents a new leash for Michael, where his smooth R’n’B sound ... ...Bad can also be seen as a soundtrack to Michaels film “Moonwalker”
Bad
Written by Michael Jackson
This was Michaels first release from this album and is a very sensible first track. It sets the scene for the rest of the album and proves that Michael is back and here to stay. The track features an extraordinary guitar solo, which again shows Michaels new sound. However it is not just the instrumental which will get you hooked. The catchy ...

Advantages: Some brilliant songs, very funky and fun to listen to Disadvantages: A few fillers, can be a bit too 80s in places
I was only three years old when ‘Bad’ was released. My parents were massive Michael Jackson fans and so I grew up with this album playing in the background. As I grew older, I forgot about it for a while, but one day, my dad brought home a CD containing all of his albums on mp3 and the rest was History… Teehee!
The original LP that my parents own is white with a picture of Michael Jackson on the front in his black leather outfit, still looking vaguely ... ...writing along the side. The newer CD versions are similar in design, but they have a black background. These also contain some bonus tracks: ‘Street Walker’ ‘I just can’t stop loving you’ which I assume is a remix as there are two versions of it, and ‘Fly Away.’ However, the one I listen to doesn’t have these on so I won’t comment on them.
The track listing is:
1. Bad
2. Way you make me feel
3. Speed demon
4. Liberian girl
5. Just good friends

Advantages: Pure class, this is how pop should be Disadvantages: He never reached these heights again
'Bad' was the follow up album to the phenomenally successful 'Thriller'. It was released in 1987 after over 2 years of hard work, and in my opinion was the last quality album that Michael Jackson has released, as I really dislike his music from the 90's onwards. 'Bad' is all about good pop/R&B songs, which were all helped by the groundbreaking videos of the time. This was a time when Michael seemed to have natural feelings of lust and love, which ... ...title track, and a better opener you will struggle to find. A better pop song will be hard to find as it has all the ingredients needed to be a classic, which it is slowly becoming, most importantly, a catchy and memorable hook, which in this case is the chorus. It has attitude with lines like 'You're butt is mine, gonna tell you right, don't show you're face in broad daylight'. Nobody laughed in his face either. We believed he was bad! 'The Way ...

Advantages: Great album Disadvantages: Nothing really
...the King of Pop's albums, Bad was used as the soundtrack to Jacko's film Moonwalker as well as being an immense success in the charts of its own merits.
My dad had this in the car on tape when I was a kid, and at one point I knew every song and the album's sequencing off by heart. The album still holds a special place for me, and the songs are all instantly recognisable for me, too.
There is a good mix of tracks, here, with some being hits and ... ...more likely choose Thriller or Bad if asked to name a Jacko track. The album finishes on an upbeat note with Leave Me Alone, at least musically. Lyrically, it's a little negative, but still rounds the album off very well.
Overall, this is a fab album. It reminds me of driving with my dad, and is one of my favourite albums. I associate this with Moonwalker and vice versa, and the music fits very well as an album and in the film. Bad is available ...

Advantages: Great lyrics, Great Beats, Its Just Great Disadvantages: None
The Bad album was released after the Thriller album which at its time was accepted as one of the greatest albums of all time and the music world thought that MJ would never be able to better it. Now I don’t own the Thriller album but I do own the Bad album and well if Thriller is meant to be better than this album then I can see me buying it as this album like his dangerous album is absolutely amazing. The main reason that I bought this album is ... ...100 % sure) Bad – this is the opening track and probably one of his most famous songs has it has a real great beat that just makes you want to sing along even if you don’t know any of the words. The song is basically about him stamping his authority on the music world and the video for the song was great and was a mini movie of two gangs fighting it out with dance moves instead of violence and of course MJ and his gang win. This track is a great ...

Advantages: Some of MJ's Greatest Hits Disadvantages: One track, which seems like a waste of space on the album
MichaelJackson's Bad album was released in 1997. It topped the charts for 6 weeks and released and amazing 7 top ten hits.
It has sold 28 million copies to date, and is often voted as one of the best albums ever made in top 100 polls.
Track Listings are as follows on the remastered special edition disc:
Bad - Tittle track. An amazing song, one of the best from MJ.
The Way You Make Me Feel - great tune, makes you want to dance, like many of MJ's hits!
Speed Demon - not one of MJ's popular song's but still a good tune.
Liberian Girl - slow song, but with a smooth jazz beat!
Just Good Friends - featuring Stevie Wondie.
Another Part Of Me - often missed of ultimate collections and greatest hits by MichaelJackson - still a very good song.
Man In The Mirror - amazing tune. very sad video though. Not written by Michael but still ...
Advantages: A lot of the good old songs he sang. Disadvantages: his life at the moment.
I am writing this review and opinion as a fair one, I have my personal opinions on him but this is not what this is about.
No matter what has gone on in the past, MichaelJackson is a legend. He even has a monkey named after me lol.
My next door neighbour from my last place idolises him and will not hear a bad thing said against him so for Christmas I decided to get her the MichaelJackson Number Ones.
Now Ciao, tut, tut, if your trying to catch me out to see if I have got this cd, then I must point out to you that you have the wrong picture on the review heading. Ciao shows it as Michael jumping sideways. This is actually one of the pictures inside the cd and is not the main cover.

Advantages: Every Song is Fantastic Disadvantages: Absolutely Flawless Album
Now, although this review may be considered biast as i am a huge fan of MichaelJackson and everything that encapsulates his performance, music, voice and producing. I would like to give a review that would help his reputation and for people to enjoy classic songs that outweigh some of today's music. Most of today's music is overplayed and will not be heard in 20 years time unlike the timeless classics on this album and other MichaelJackson albums.
I recommend that you purchase all of MichaelJackson albums and not just bad as his musical style does alter through his long career, although every song has its generic elements of a fantastic MichaelJackson musical masterpiece:
"Bad" - Well known MichaelJackson track, known for its choreography in the music video. The track is funky and smooth yet well paced and groovy
"Way ...
Personnel includes: Michael Jackson (vocals); Stevie Wonder (vocals, keyboards); The Winans (vocals); David Williams, Eric Gale, Steve Stevens, Bill Bottrell, Dann Huff, Michael Landau, Paul Jackson Jr. (guitar); Larry Williams (saxophone, keyboards, programming); Kim Hutchcroft (saxophone); Gary Grant, Jerry Hey (trumpet); John Barnes (piano, keyboards); Kevin Maloney (piano); Jimmy Smith (Hammond organ); Christopher Currell, Michael Boddicker, David Paich, Greg Phillinganes, Rhett Lawrence, Glen Ballard, Randy Kerber, Denny Jaeger (keyboards); Nathan East (bass); Ollie E. Recorded at Westlake Audio Studios, Los Angeles, California. Originally released on Epic (40600). Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California). Jackson's domination of the world record market continued following Thriller, although by comparison it was an almighty flop with only 12 million sales. As Pink Floyd and Dire Straits have proved, one album can go completely sales haywire without necessarily being any better. The title track and the gorgeous "Man In The Mirror" were substantial hits, but quality material such as "Dirty Diana" and "Liberian Girl" bolster a strong album. Jackson also seemed to have found the romance he seeks in "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "The Way You Make Me Feel." Regardless of his press, history clearly shows that he has made a lot of people very, very happy.
