Advantages: Great cover versions Disadvantages: They're only cover versions
...'Killer' which is probably the weakest track adding little to either song. The final revelation is George's cover of 'Calling You'. The song first appeared on the soundtrack to the little seen BagdadCafe winning an Oscar nomination for composer Bob Telson, but had never appeared in the British charts. George gives a soulful, generous performance which remains in the aural memory of those who hear it.
Like the former Cassius Clay, the former Georgios Panayiotou would continue to make comebacks and reclaim his title as the greatest of his generation and it remains to be seen whether he has now finally been knocked out for good.

...Having watched the film one has to agree that you walk out, and the first thing that you want to do is to go into a nigtclub and go crazy. The soundtrack, in my view, captures the essence of the movie. At first sight, the cover may appear a little dull, but Pete Tong's influence shines through with some pumping house tracks, classics (cafe del mar) are mixed with a diverse selection, ranging from Van Helden's 'Flowers' to a Carl Cox latino cut. Whack this cd on before you go out, it will definetly get you up for it !...

Advantages: Generally good songs, good mixing, some good quotes from the film Disadvantages: Just doesn't capture the films spirit

It features the main songs from the film, and a few quotes and things, but overall, I felt very disappointed, as it didn't seem to capture the overall spirit of the film the way that it could have. The second CD, which is mixed by Pete Tong, is nothing special, but does include those old staples Cafe Del Mar, Belfast and Come Together. It has the classic Jungle scene from the film on it, but the song that follows isn't the same as in the film!
As an album, it's pretty OK. But as a soundtrack to the best clubing film ever, it's lacking something....
