Advantages: Amazing Skacore Disadvantages: More of the same?
...This is the latest offering from prestigious American Skacore legends VoodooGlowSkulls. The band have been around for some time now, but on this new album they show no signs of slowing down and are still creating the amazing music they always were. There are 14 tracks on display here and none will disappoint. It may be argued by some that the band have produced greater albums in the past, but when you are a band with a string of amazing albums then it's always going to be hard to live up to people's expectations. Personally I think the band have done well here and come up with another fine album of Skacore greatness. I have always been a huge fan of the band and this album certainly doesn't rock my faith in any way, shape, or form.

...By far the best album from the VoodooGlowSkulls is Firme.
This album is also available entirely in Spanish, but I chose the English version.
VoodooGlowSkulls combine, punk and ska using trombones and trumpets and heavy guitars to the maximum. The lyrics are fast and the music has so much energy.
Fat Randy, Charlie Brown, Shoot the Moon and El Coo Cooi have to be my favourite tracks on this album. A great album to get up and skank too.
The VoodooGlowSkulls are a great band and this their finest moment to date....

Advantages: some catchy choruses Disadvantages: Bad vocials
...I bought this album without listen to anything by the voodooglowskulls and simply on the basis that on the front there was a sticker saying 'for fans on sublime and less then jake'. So thourght that this would by a happy-go-lucky/chill-out ska core band, I was in for a shock. The only thing that I got right is the ska core part. The vocials just seem to be shouting and the brass section had a very creeepy sound to them. Along with a guitar, bass and drums that seem to very basic , so you couldn't really fault it but and the same time you wouldn't stand up as shout about it.
I'm not some one who judges bands on first listening so I listened to it a few more times hoping the lyrics would pull them though or something would just suddenly click and I would like them. The lyrics just seem to but cheesy with no real relevents to anything...
