Review of Manu Chao

Long time to wait for this album.

Advantages: Fine to listen
Disadvantages: Sometimes copies from himself

Manu chao made me to wait long to release of this La Radiolina. As i found out part of the old band Radio Bemba Sound SYstem is still together and their tourney is inside this album. Rock guitars serves Madjid Fahem, bass guitar Michael Bambit using his berserk voice same energically as on his concerts. Magic word i've seen on their web pages really fits and very briefly characterises what hes able to do with strings. Next well known is charismatic trumpeter Roy Paci. Texts are very protesting - i can mention one part to make your own view - it is from Politik Kills: "Politik use drugs / Politik use bombs / Politik need torpedoes / Politik needs blood / That's why my friend is an evidence / Politik is violence". Review of La Radiolina [Digipak] [ECD] - Manu Chao

CHAOS! Film only review.

Advantages: Jason Statham! Great storyline! Excellent cast!
Disadvantages: Erm none!!!

I loved! :) The thing I like most about this film is it pushes the boundries of normal films, with the ending not following the usual conventions of action/thriller films. The only thing I have to criticise is Jason Stathams accent in the film. I can't really work out if he is trying to speak in an American accent (if you don't know of the actor, he is British, and speaks in a strong London cockney accent), but in Chaos he has a London accent twinged with American. Now it could be that he has been living in America since his film career went from British films (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch) to American films (Transporter 1,2 and 3, Crank 1 and 2, Death Race), and his accent has taken on an American twinge, in which case it's fine, but if he is trying to speak in an American accent then it fails badly, and you can ...
