Stapleton - Hug The Coast
Review of Hug The Coast - Stapleton by nweststeyn

Advantages: Great songwriting, fantastic production
Disadvantages: Not popular enough!

...Stapleton are a band from Glasgow who not many are familiar with, but one which many more should know about! This album, which I first discovered in 2006 was one of my albums of the year, and I still listen to it constantly. Review of August And Everything After - Counting Crows by simonpear2000

Advantages: Song after song is memorable
Disadvantages: Might leave you feeling a tinsy bit down

August and Everything After was made at a time where the biggest rock bands in the world were all hard rock acts, such as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stone Temple Pilots. This album (one of the biggest sellers of the nineties in America) is driven by several tracks, the fabulous "Mr. Jones", an amazing song and one of the freshest and most original rock tracks of the last ten years; the soul gripping "Round Here", and "Anna Begins". Other tracks on the album like "Time and Time again", "A murder of one", "Ghost Train" and "Raining In Baltimore" all follow on seamlessly. It's a very slow and mellow album, which is a welcome change of pace from all the hardcore... Read review
