Band Wagon, The [Remastered] - Original Soundtrack

Advantages: Every one can sing along
Disadvantages: Chitty Bang Bang Repeated 5 Times

...Got this one fairly cheaply at HMV for £8.99 recently. With Sixteen tracks on this Compact Disc sung by the original artists from the film including Dick Van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes, Lional Jefferies,Gert Frobe, Anna Quayle, this makes an excellent additional purchase to the film, if you haven't got time to watch the film again. With timeless classics including Toot Sweets, Hushabye Mountain (Twice), Chitty Bang Bang (5 times) think that might be a bit of over kill and it does get a bit tedious towards the end of the compact Disc when it is played twice in sucsession, Me ole Bamboo, (which is my personal favourite), Truly Scrumptious (which by the way is Sung on a nudist beach in the South of France, near San Tropez !, which I have visited but kept my clothes on !!) Advantages: Legendary soundtrack is given the deluxe edition, with full remastered tracks
Disadvantages: Some minor flaws...

...misleading in this case. Why, you ask? LOL, well it’s great they included every single song from the film here, as well as remastering them all (every song sounds crisp and clear), though unfortunately I think this “Ultimate Soundtrack” suffers from a little bit of false advertising. They say that every song is in order, when in reality, track #6 is played BEFORE tracks 3, 4, and 5 when you watch the movie, and I’m sure fans will notice this. In addition, if they wanted to make this a true “ultimate” edition, I’m sure they would have played all the songs UNCUT as they are in the film. They managed to do this to track #26, which was cut by almost 2 minutes in the original CD, and recording it exactly as it sounds in the movie. Though why couldn’t they do the same thing to “Stay” and “Cry to Me, “ which are obviously quite shorter... Read review

Advantages: Great Soundtrack for a Great Movie
Disadvantages: No special features on the CD

...This is the soundtrack that accompanies the film Top Gun, the ultimate in air combat movies. With some great songs in the movie included on this soundtrack. These tracks are: 1. Danger zone - Kenny Loggins The first song on the soundtrack, very nice song, great lyrics and nice to sing along too, also very good to dance to at an 80's party. A great number to start of a great soundtrack with. 2. Heaven in your eyes - Loverboy A nice slow love song. A nice light texture with some great lyrics. Easy listening to make you feel good. 3. Mighty wings - Cheap Trick This is a upbeat song, one of my favourite songs on the soundtrack, again, easy to sing along to, some great harmonies and great lyrics. 4.
