Advantages: Mer and My Sofa Get Reaquanted Disadvantages: No Small Faces Covers
The word collaboration is one I do not like hearing when used to describe a piece of rock and roll, when I was a young man it was featuring a guest appearance by so and so, I dislike the word collaboration as it is dirty and soulless.
The Desert Sessions is Josh Homme (Queens of The Stone Age) artistic side project which enables him to indulge in "collaborations" with various other artists he is interested in working with. It enables him to explore musical territory outside of the entity the is Queens of The Stone Age. In less pompous and pretentious terms it is basically an opportunity for him to go to Rancho De Luna Studios in the high desert town of Joshua Tree and have some fun with folk he likes or admires. Advantages: Variety Disadvantages: Couple not so great tracks
stuff.
The cover is simple but effective as the red and black jumps out at you and really sets the mood of these bluesy tunes. The main artists are listed on the front and the full track listing on the back. The front cover also pulls out and its actually an A3 poster. The poster is a similar image to the cover but with a bit of yellow. I don't think you'd use this as then your CD would be bare?

I did however purchase because i like Phil Collins and i like hip hop & r&b so i took a chance. I should have spent my money on buying that indoor ten pin bowling set instead. Saying that there is a couple of decent tunes on here but as a whole, not the greatest ive spent my money on

Another Day In Paradise - Ray J & Brandy. The single to come off this album was received quite well, not a bad video and the brother sister duet that everyone wanted to hear. An up to date version but not better than the original. You may find me saying that more often than not
Sussudio - Ol Dirty Bastard. Shocking. No resemblence ...
