The car we reviewed was a Vauxhall Corsa SXI Twinport with a 1.2 litre 16 valve engine. It was standard spec with alloy wheels fitted. Full specifications are available Here Driving experience Driving the Corsa can only be described in a single word: Easy. The clutch is light, there is no way to put the car into the wrong gear, and the power-assisted steering, unlike the engine, is powerful. The combination of all of this means that it is very simple to drive. The instrument panel is simple - Spartan, even - and there is very little to distract you from the reason why you are behind the wheel: driving the car. Performance out of the 1.2 litre Twinport was adequate - You will never be the first one away from stop-lights, and acceleration is not great at higher speeds, but it does offer enough power to take you where you need to go. ...
Advantages: Good range of feature. Cheap running costs. Disadvantages: Very common cars.
hours you get a free hire car. My first car broke down and was off the road for a week. I was driven by the AA to the nearest car hire company and then was given a hire car for 6 days and was all paid by Vauxhall.Compare this to one of my companies Polos which was off the road 2 weeks due to a serious steering problem and we got jack all from them...No I tell a lie...we got a Ł300 car hire bill from Budget car hire!
Included with the car is road tax for 1 year.

Advantages: space, steering, brakes Disadvantages: boot and not as cool to look at as new fiesta

The 1.2sxi was quite gutsy, and a definite improvement over the 1.3 KA which she crashed, however on the long trip down to Gloucester from Nottingham, the car was refreshingly stable, obviously you are only allowed to travel 70mph on British Motorways and the 1.2 handled this no problem, however it wont push on without being noisy.
On the fuel consumption side, my girlfirend said she put more in the Corsa than her 1.3 Ford KA to travel the same 12 miles she did to work.
In Summary then, if you want a super-mini that?s comfortable, looks okay, decent to drive and fast enough to use in Britain then the Corsa 1.2 Sxi maybe for you, and I would definitely recommend the pioneer screen to ...
