Advantages: Original, High paced Disadvantages: None
...Well this is KoRn's third LP, and clearly they've changed their style again, after what I thought was a poor second album in "Life Is Peachy". Maybe my title is a little inacurate as KoRn's first album was nothing short of brilliant but I consider this to be their best. Hard to define KoRn into a style as music, as they are very different from most bands. The innovative part of KoRn comes out in the bassist, Fieldy as far as I'm concerned. Listen to him play and you'll swear that it is not a bass-guitar. Not to be a conventional bassist, Fieldy describes himself as a drummer on bass. That's about as well as it can be described, but be assured that the bass lines are important to KoRn's sound. Jonathan Davis is on top form in this album, I can't understand how people can assume all Jon does is shoutand screaming. Aside from his shouting...

Advantages: Sound is out of this world Disadvantages: "Hopelandic" can make songs sound a little similar
...Sigur Rós- Iceland's answer to everything:
The band consists of jón þor (jónsi) birgisson (vocals, guitars), kjartan (kjarri) sveinsson (keyboards), orri páll dýrason (drums) and georg (goggi) holm (bass). They create a remarkable sound considering the basic instruments used. Jónsi often uses a cello bow to play his guitar, resulting in an effects-laden, atmospheric, totally unique sound. His voice is probably the most unique thing about sigur rós. a falsetto somewhere between thom yorke and a choir boy. the band have released three albums so far, plus one remix album (von brigði - recycle bin). the first album, which has not been released outside of iceland, is called von (hope) and is quite experimental and ambient.
This offering was recorded at their new studio in Alafoss that they converted from a swimming pool. It has no words...

Advantages: The Best Bon Jovi Track Disadvantages: None
...'s guitar playing echoing the piano. While the Bass Guitar (Played by now departed Alec John Such) almost 'throbbing' in the background seems to give the song a heartbeat and makes it come alive.
The instrumental/Sambora guitar solo, starting 4.43 minutes into the track and lasting for 2.37 minutes, is an amazing display of just what a talented guitar player Richie is, it builds up into a crescendo of 'magnificent' proportions, with the bass guitar punctuating every so often, then Tico's drums adding to the pace and tempo, carrying you away with the rhythm, it builds up and you almost want it to keep building up and never stop! It gradually slows down and repeats the tempo of the intro before Jon resumes singing.
The lyrics are a brilliant example of how Jon can take a subject and make it come alive, you can imagine these people suffering...
