Advantages: Amazing old school beats, intelligent lyrics

...Sick of everything 50cent related? Bored of Snoop glorifying pimps? Me too, this album however is just the breath of fresh air that hip hop has been waiting for. The album, based around Kanye's dropout of college portrays real life for Kanye with all the wit and intellect hip hop has lacked of recent. The first track displays this amazingly well displaying the true grit of drug culture set to an infectious pop beat. The lyrics don't deviate from any of Kanye's harsh realities whilst the beats are some of the freshest and most inventive around at the moment. The bass lines are truly infectious, offering truly rememberable lines that have so much funk in them. Admittedly not the most original bass lines but unlike offerings from other artists, they're truly uplifting. Despite the lyrical content, it is hard to not feel good after hearing... Read review

Advantages: Exeptional quality of every piece of sound
Disadvantages: Too short

...is also strong and track can nevertheless rock you hard. "Snow Cat" is heavily packed with deep bass sound that make the general flow really strong and agressive. The last one, "Jellybean" is another experiment with style, but this experiment is also very succesful. A very strong finishing. The second CD is just a well compiled mix of all of these tracks. The only bad thing about the album is its size - only 9 tracks. But the quality of these make all of them real classics and their author - living legends. A must have fot everyone who is into drum'n'bass culture.... Read review

...three great mix cds in one pack and mixed by the legendary dj hype. this cd is full of every style of drum n bass. this is a great way of hearing all styles in one mix set, from jump up to jazzy, dark and ragga and more soulfull tracks. not many people mix all style when djing drum n bass but hype does it and does it well. best thing of all they decided not to have an mc rapping over the tune and this is a great advantage to this cd and just lets the music do the talking. there are also a few vocal tracks on this cd aswell. there are so many styles/genres of drum n bass aspecially in britain [home of dnb] this cd really does all justice. there has some great exclusives versions of tracks on this as well which makes it even more special. everyone should have a copy of this for sure and even people that dont like drum n bass or dont...
