Bass Hit - Ray Brown

...I just have to review this album, since it's one of my all-time favorite albums! I hardly never listened to Heavy Metal before I got this album, but 2-3 months after i bought this, I bought all Gamma Ray albums that were available at that time. From the day on i bought this album I consider myself becoming a true metalhead ;)I guess here are some people that never heard of Gamma Ray?? As a lot of you older headbangers know, Kai Hansen - the leadguitarist of Helloween, left the band in 1988 and started a new band called Gamma Ray. Kai Hansen is the only man that is still in Gamma Ray after they started in 1989, but for the last 4 years the setup has been stable. Advantages: Ray's voice, use of different song structures
Disadvantages: Has to be listened to with no distractions to fully appreciate

...known for his raspy voice. He claims to have learned this technique through singing from his gut rather than through his nose. It has been compared to many people including Van Morrison. He has been touring since 1999, and is known to separate himself completely from the audience by not interacting between songs, and, on one occasion, even playing completely in the dark so the audience could focus on the music. -The Album- Trouble was re-recorded in two weeks at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles. Advantages: Eminently listenable with the right attitude
Disadvantages: Not for everyone

...joined by slow haunting bass and keyboards before James Ray starts to sing what is obviously a comment on recent events with the lyrics “ What you have lost can never be found Words are just dust in deserts of sound Everything is lost and your trust lies broken And the truth is drowned” The `B` side is an instrumental version of Giving Ground. Which yet again is a departure, as previous Sisters tracks always had a new song on the `B` side; this again was due to the need for speed of release to get out a record before the `impostors` could do so. Sisterhood mark two had arrived back in this country after a European tour and had a gig in London, it was at this gig that they unveiled their new name as being The Mission having finally given up on their right...
