Advantages: Some Really Catchy Tracks
Disadvantages: Can Be Saming Wont Appeal To A Large Audience

...cheaper. Track 1 - Time to Waste This song is one of a couple you might recognise Alkaline Trio for played very frequently on mainstream radio after its release. I personally love the instrumental beginning, this consists of a piano and gradually adds drums , after this you hear the guitars and this is when the song really starts. Its a very catchy song and will have you humming the chorus all afternoon Track 2 - The Poison This song is slightly different, however it has similarities to other punky songs with its lyrics and rhythm. I dont enjoy this song anywhere near as many others on the album. It is what i normally call a filler song. One that would never make a decent single but is included on the album just to bump it up. Advantages: Dark, melodic, infectious punk with great lyrics

...This is Alkaline Trio's 4th proper studio album, released in 2003 on Vagrant records. The trio have always been a slightly dark band, but with the release of Good Mourning, the band have changed their image completely. Fortunately their music hasn't changed too much. Good Mourning features newly recruited drummer Derek Grant The album starts off with This Could Be Love. Very dark and clever lyrics, from singer and guitarist Matt Skiba. Not one of my personal favourites though. I like it, but it doesn't grab me. 8/10 We've Had Enough was the first hit single from the album. This is good Alkaline Trio. Dark verse but it then goes into the chorus in a major key. Very lively too. The album redeems itself after the fairly disappointing This Could Be Love. 10/10 The good thing about Alkaline Trio is their guitarist Matt Skiba... Read review
