Review of Very Best Of Ray Charles, The - Ray Charles by cam3lot

Advantages: Ray Charles Greatest Hits !
Disadvantages: ?

...moaning rather than singing it, but as he knows how to do it, gets out a beautiful blues which makes your soul dance. Even though lets you a bitter-sweet taste, it is a pleasure to hear it over and over again. Drown in my own tears, was not written by Ray, Henry Glover is to blame for this smashing hit which was released in 1952 first time. But in 1956 Ray broke all the myths and brought out the very best of this song in his original way, and once again he had another No. 1! 10/10 (3:20) 9) "(Night time is) The right Time" - again another song that was not written by Ray. The song was originally done Nappy Brown in 1954 and was revised by Charles, who is helped in the song by lead Raelette Margie Hendricks. The sound of this song is almost the same since it starts till it ends…what makes you to pay attention to the song is the part where... Read review

TRIO AT THEIR BEST!
Review of Goddamnit - Alkaline Trio by lou_la

Advantages: Fast paced, lyrics with meaning, classic trio!
Disadvantages: none existant

...This, being one of The Trios first albums is classic trio. If you like them, this is the one you have to listen to - If you have not heard them before - this is the first album that you should listen to! With classics such as Trouble breathing - one of myu favourites which has a killer intro, this one is not to be overlooked! This album is full of heartfelt lyrics which are filled with emotion, however this album is still punk and it is still dark and is not soppy emo which is unusual but genius and very hard to do! Good music to listen to after you've had a truly awful day/week/month/year! If you are upset or in a bad mood or just feel like listening to some music with catchy tunes - this would be the one to be slipped into the CD player! T his album has a very dark theme but as do all their albums - 'From Here To Infirmiry... Read review

review of Grand National
Review of Grand National - John Butler Trio by ciaomoneymaker

Advantages: great guitarist and excellent lyrics
Disadvantages: too much like a jamming session?

...john butler is one of the greatest guitarists i have ever heard! he is very famous in Australia, but not so much here in the United Kingdom. i first heard of him from a friend and i really love his music. the john butler trio isnt everyones cup of tea though! to some his music just sounds like a continuos jamming session. he has recently done a tour of the United Kingdom, and Grand National, is the latest cd to be relaesed by the John Butler Trio. in my opinion this is not his best cd, that would have to be Sunrise Over Sea, i personally would recommend that you bought that one first. Grand National sounds a bit like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, very full of energy.... Read review
